Local man killed, wife injured in shooting at Denver car rental, officials say – The Cincinnati Enquirer

An Elder High School alumnus was killed and his wife injured in a shooting while renting a car in Denver, officials said.
Pat Huhn, a 1985 Elder High School grad, died from his injuries and his wife Shannon Huhn remains in critical condition, according to both Brian Bill, alumni relations director at Elder High School and TriHealth, Pat Huhn’s employer.
Denver police said Friday the couple was shot at an Enterprise car rental business where they were customers.
Officials said there is no indication of a relationship between the couple and the suspect.
A short time after the shooting the suspect was spotted by an eyewitness and arrested, investigators said. Police are still searching for another person of interest in the shooting who was seen driving a silver Chrysler 200. The suspect’s identity has not been released
Bill said Huhn had two sons who also graduated from Elder in 2016 and 2018.
People knew Huhn as “a good guy,” Bill said.
“If everyone in the Elder community and outside the Elder community could keep the family and friends and everyone who knew them in their prayers and pray for peace in their lives and pull for (Shannon Huhn) to come through successfully,” he said.
TriHealth President and CEO Mark Clement said Pat Huhn was a highly respected and well-liked member of the company’s pharmacy team at Group Health – Western Hills.
“TriHealth was devastated to learn last week about the tragic shooting in Denver in which Pat Huhn was killed and his wife severely injured,” Clement said. “TriHealth is making counseling and support services available to all team members. All of us at TriHealth are praying for Pat’s wife, Shannon, and their family.”
