Lunar Landing 5K
The event celebrates the anniversary of the July 1969 lunar landing with a family-friendly 5K and Kids 1K that wends around the area surrounding the Clear Lake Recreation and Community Center. 7:15 a.m. July 23; 16511 Diana Lane;
Tai Chi in the Barrio
Exercise the mind and body with a tai chi class at Smither Park. Classes feature lessons in the Yang style, based on the 24-step international form. All levels are welcome. 7-8 p.m. July 25; 2402 Munger;
Zumba at Midtown Park
This workout class at Midtown Park combines all elements of fitness — cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and boosted energy. 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 26; 2811 Travis;
A fun and challenging body-weight interval training class to burn calories while gaining strength and endurance. Classes are free but registration is required. 6:30-7:30 p.m. July 27; Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney;
